It can be played by 2 to 4 people, making it fun for the whole family. Playtime is about 15-20 minutes, so it can be enjoyed even in short bursts of time. The player who places the most pieces at the end wins. Blokus is based on the original concept by Bernard Tavitian. [Sold in over 50 countries worldwide] Blokus originated in France and has spread to over 50 countries worldwide due to its very simple and easy-to-understand rules, yet profound depth. [A board game that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike] The rules are very simple and easy to learn, so you can play with family, friends, or colleagues right away. Up to 4 people can play, but even if you don't have 4 people, if there are 2 people, one person can take on 2 colors, and if there are 3 people, one person can take on 2 colors. [The ability to anticipate] Everyone has the same shape and number of pieces, only the colors differ. Since each player places their pieces strategically, some shapes become unplayable as the available space shrinks. Strategically placing your own pieces in locations that are easy to place and difficult for your opponents is crucial; the ability to anticipate is essential. Mattel Games offers a wide variety of games that can be enjoyed by everyone, from adults to children, with family and friends, including the globally popular card game "UNO," the strategy game "Blokus" which is also as educational content for children, and "Bounce Off," a new kind of game with simple rules that has many people getting hooked on.
