Ortofon's "non-skipping" VNL stylus, already known as a unique DJ cartridge that allows you to choose your playing feel with three different styluses, is now joined by the high-output VNL TRIX and DANCE models. The lineup also includes the VNL TRIX/DANCE Premounted on SH-2, which comes pre-mounted on the lightweight SH-2 headshell, making it ready to use right out of the box. Look forward to a powerful, punchy new generation of Ortofon DJ cartridges. I. Powerful and clear sound supported by a high output of 10mV. The higher the output voltage of a cartridge, the louder and more powerful the sound will be. However, if you push the power too hard in pursuit of volume alone, the balance of the reproduced sound will be disrupted, and it may cause distortion. Based on our many years of experience, we have developed a power generation engine (magnetic circuit) that can produce a clear, crisp, and powerful volume without saturating the reproduced sound. There are many DJ cartridges that are loud and have a great sense of power, but when you add the condition that the needle can read the nuances of the music etched into the record with high quality, the bar becomes very high. However, as a cartridge bearing the name of Ortofon, it must be able to achieve not only high volume, clarity, and power, but also a good tone. The TRIX and DANCE, the high-output models of VNL, were born from this earnest desire. II. The stylus (replaceable needle) is made fluorescent to enhance visibility. The VNL TRIX/DANCE features a fluorescent stylus (replaceable needle) at the tip of the cartridge. This makes it easier to see the needle tip on the record even in dark environments. Additionally, the TRIX uses white fluorescence and the DANCE uses yellow fluorescence to prevent mix-ups. III. A TRIX/DANCE common body with stylus compatibility. The bodies of the TRIX and DANCE, boasting a high output of 10mV, were newly developed specifically for these two models. Therefore, the bodies are interchangeable, allowing you to enjoy different playing styles by simply swapping the stylus (replaceable needle). Use the white stylus for battle scenes where TRIX is appropriate, and the yellow stylus for situations where DANCE's performance is desired. Since the weight and tracking force are the same, the ability to instantly change the character of each player simply by swapping the stylus is a strength of the VNL series. VNL TRIX The TRIX, equipped with a white fluorescent stylus, utilizes a highly rigid aluminum cantilever and a round stylus tip, making it robust enough to withstand the heavy use of battle DJs involving intense scratching and back-cueing, while also ensuring stable tracking of the groove. The VNL TRIX can be described as a shell-mountable DJ cartridge with characteristics similar to the all-in-one Concorde MkⅡ Scratch model. NNL DANCE The higher-grade DANCE stylus, which uses an elliptical needle, is symbolized by its yellow fluorescent stylus. Like the TRIX, it boasts high rigidity, but the elliptical needle, which can pick up sound from the record more precisely, enables the clearest and widest-range music playback in the VNL series. When you want a DJ needle that is more powerful than the Concorde MkⅡ Club, yet rich, high-quality, and full-bodied, this is the DANCE for you. 【SPECIFICATION】 ●Output Voltage (1kHz, 5cm/sec.): 10mV ●Channel Separation (1kHz): 22dB ●Frequency Response (20Hz-20,000Hz): ±3dB ●Tracking Ability (315Hz, under proper tracking force): 100μm ●Horizontal Compliance: 12μm/mN ●Stylus Type: Spherical (TRIX) / Elliptical (DANCE) ●Stylus Tip Radius: R 18μm (TRIX) / r/R 8/18μm (DANCE) ●Cantilever Material: Aluminum ●Proper Tracking Force: 4.0g ●Recommended Load Resistance: 47kΩ ●Weight: 7g (cartridge body) / 17g (Premounted on SH-2)
