Join Me on a Journey to Space! Space Shuttle Discovery was the third of NASA's five reusable orbiting vehicles, recording 39 launches and landings between 1984 and 2011. Its greatest achievement was undoubtedly the launch of the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) on April 25, 1990, which revolutionized our understanding of astronomy and astrophysics, particularly the age and expansion of the universe. Featuring both rocket (for vertical launch) and glider (for landing), the Space Shuttle was the backbone of America's space program in the early 21st century and essential to the construction and maintenance of the ISS (International Space Station). Imagine yourself assembling this iconic hull and participating in a landmark mission to further exploration and scientific discovery: the launch of the Hubble Telescope.
